KUALA LUMPUR, March 30 - A total of two privately-owned lorries seized Kuala Selangor District Council (MDKS) have been found to act illegally dispose of waste in the area near Kampung Sentosa, Bestari Jaya, near here, recently.

President of MDKS, Mr. Mohd. Azhar Mohamed Ali said the action was taken through the initial intelligence of MDKS and complaints from local residents about the actions of unscrupulous people concerned. Strictly speaking, it is confiscation actions carried out under the provisions of the Law Collection, Removal and Disposal of Garbage MDKS 2007.

"MDKS has forwarded this matter to the Kuala Selangor District Land Office to review the status of the land so that action could be taken to the landlord. "In addition, we will monitor the follow-up regularly and continuously at the site to prevent similar events recur in the affected areas," he said in a statement.

Mohd. Azhar said, MDKS take the matter seriously to address the issue of illegal garbage in its area of jurisdiction. "The cooperation of residents is needed to help distribute information to the authorities through the application of the system of complaints Sparks. "Efforts to address the problem of illegal dumping is not located under MDKS alone, and most of the issues that arise occur in areas not under the supervision of MDKS," he said.
