The Kuala Selangor District Council (MDKS) hosted the Kuala Selangor District Council's Men's Futsal Open Championship held on December 16, 2017 at the Batu 6 Futsal Court, Tanjung Karang.

The tournament that offers a cash prize of RM 2000.00 to the winners has brought together a total of 64 teams comprising youth. MDKS provides this competition to provide opportunities for Kuala Selangor's new talents to test their ability to compete with team teams from outside the district and beyond Selangor.

The futsal tournament is an annual tournament organized by MDKS as a futsal sports development program at the Kuala Selangor level through the development of Kuala Selangor District Council sports. Additionally, the tournament is also an effort to find and polish athletes' talent among youths and we can see many new talents that are bright in this tournament this time.

This sports activity should be a Malaysian culture towards improving the health and quality of life.

"Futsal sports can be an alternative activity for young people who are currently in the midst of participating in activities that are contrary to the norms of society. Organizing sports activities such as this championship can minimize the young people from being caught with social phenomena ".
