KUALA SELANGOR, 29 AUG: The Kuala Selangor District Council (MDKS) is ready to work with the private sector to complete the Kuala Selangor Old Town Jetty with various facilities.

Yang DiPertua, Mohd Azhar Mohamed Ali said it included the construction of galleries, waiting places, galleries, business kiosks, souvenirs and others. He said it needed urgent support as it connects travelers with the only destination in Asia that offers the phenomenon of 'Salar De Uyuni' (mirror image reflection) in Permatang Angsa.

"Maybe we make it through the privatization method to provide facilities for the community. "As a Local Authority (PBT), I believe we can not just wait for government funds but need to be more innovative. "If you wait, then slow down your progress," he told SelangorKini.

On Aug 24, he officiated the Launching Ceremony of the Kuala Selangor Old Town Jetty, here, also attended by Selangor Tourism General Manager, Noorul Ashikin Mohd Din. Mohd Azhar said that it would also improve existing facilities for the convenience of visitors and tourists, especially in terms of security.

"Among other things, we will add safety fencing and security jacket to meet the aspects of the authorities. "Likewise, with the route of the boat that passes through the big boat route, we ask the relevant agency to help smooth our operation. "It is hoped that all parties will provide cooperation and support in the development of potential tourism destinations in Selangor," he said.
